Located in Northern California between San Francisco and Sacramento, Vacaville is a community of nearly 100,000 people. Vacaville Unified serves nearly 14,000 students from the suburban area as well as a significant rural area north of the city. More than 10 years ago VUSD embarked on a strategic planning process to achieve the mission of graduating ALL students with knowledge and ability to make good choices, act responsibly, earn a living and continue learning throughout life. After several years we are seeing the positive impact of completing many strategies and spreading the planning process to our sixteen schools.
