Samuel F. Hatcher, also known as Sam, has been the President and Principal Executive Officer of EQK Realty Investors I since January, 15 1999. Mr. Hatcher has been a Senior Executive Vice President and General Counsel of Lend Lease Real Estate Investments, Inc. (formerly ERE Yarmouth, Inc.) since 1997. He has been an Executive Vice President, Corporate Secretary and General Counsel at Synovus Financial Corporation from April 21, 2008 to January 2014. He served as Secretary of Chastain Capital Corp. since December 1997. Mr. Hatcher served as an Executive Vice President and General Counsel of Lend Lease Real Estate Investments, Inc. from 1993 to 1997. He served as the Vice President and Counsel to the Equitable Life Assurance Society of the United States, assigned to and located at Equitable Real Estate Investment Management, Inc. from 1989 to 1993. Prior to 1989 and since 1971, he served as a Partner in the real estate practice group of Alston & Bird, a law firm located in Atlanta, Georgia. Mr. Hatcher has been Trustee of EQK Realty Investors I since January, 15 1999. Mr. Hatcher graduated from Davidson College with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in 1968 and received his Juris Doctorate Degree from Yale Law School in 1971.
