The Judicial Conduct Board is the state agency responsible by constitutional mandate for investigating complaints of misconduct against judges of Pennsylvania`s unified judicial system and, where appropriate, filing formal charges against those judges found to have engaged in unethical behavior. The members and staff of the Judicial Conduct Board take their duties to the citizens and Judiciary of Pennsylvania very seriously. The Board is committed to preserving the honor, dignity, independence, and integrity of Pennsylvania`s judiciary. Political affiliation, race, color, age, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, ancestry, religious creed, disability, and the position or status of the complainant or judge are not considerations in reviewing cases. The Board`s duties to the public and judiciary require the honesty, intelligence, professionalism and diligence of every Board and staff member. The Board investigates every allegation made against a Pennsylvania judge. Each complaint that is filed with the Board is thoroughly reviewed and analyzed by the staff as well as the twelve Board Members. This procedure is an essential safeguard in the integrity of and public confidence in the judicial process. Judges are held to a high standard of ethical conduct as prescribed by the laws of Pennsylvania, including the Code of Judicial Conduct, and the Board and its employees strive to conduct themselves in a similar manner.

The District of Columbia Office on Aging develops and carries out a comprehensive and coordinated system of health, education and social services for the District`s older adults (60 years and older), people with disabilities (18 to 59 years old), and their caregivers. The Office on Aging was created by DC Law 1-24 in 1975 as the District`s State and Area Agency on Aging and structured to carry out advocacy, leadership, management, programmatic, and fiscal responsibilities. The Office on Aging oversees the operation of the Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC). This is accomplished through the provision of unbiased, reliable information, counseling, and service access to older adults (60 years and older), people with disabilities (18 to 59 years old), and their caregivers. The ADRC facilitates the acquisition of services individualized to the unique needs and desires expressed by each person. Additionally, DCOA also funds a Senior Service Network (“Network”) comprised of 20 community-based non-profit and private organizations that operate more than 30 programs that provide direct services to the District`s older adult residents. These services are crucial to the Network and support a broad range of legal, nutrition, social, and health services – including adult day care caregiver support services, hospital discharge planning, long-term care options counseling, nursing home transition services, and other additional support services. The mission of the District of Columbia Office on Aging (DCOA) is to advocate, plan, implement, and monitor programs in health, education and social services which promote longevity, independence, dignity, and choice for older District residents (age 60 plus), people with disabilities (age 18 to 59) and their caregivers.
