CommonSpirit Health was created in early 2019 when Catholic Health Initiatives and Dignity Health came together as one ministry. Drawing on our combined resources, CommonSpirit is dedicated to building healthy communities, advocating for the poor and vulnerable, and innovating how and where healing can happen—both inside our hospitals and out in the community. Sheppard Pratt Health System is the largest private, non-profit provider of mental health, and substance use, and special education services in the U.S. We are comprised of two free-standing psychiatric hospitals, 13 special education residential and day schools, numerous outpatient and telepsychiatry sites, and several wholly-owned subsidiary programs.
