For 50 years Goodwill of the Coastal Empire has served our community. During these difficult economic times, the level of need in our community continues to rise, yet at Goodwill the spirit of success triumphs. We deeply appreciate those who provide support. The company started in 1965 with eight employees and a $60,000 budget in a time when there were few community organizations helping people with disabilities. Today, we have more than 850 employees and a budget of $27+ million. We expanded our services in recent years with the opening of nine Job Connection Centers. These centers connect businesses and job seekers in local community, as well as the surrounding counties. The centers offers a wide array of services and classes.

We handle nearly 6,000 court cases annually from our offices in almost every state. The ACLU also works to extend rights to segments of our population that have traditionally been denied their rights, including people of color; women; lesbians, gay men, bisexuals and transgender people; prisoners; and people with disabilities.
