The Wisconsin State Laboratory of Hygiene (WSLH) is the state`s public, environmental and occupational health laboratory. We protect the health and safety of Wisconsin`s people and environment and provide training to other professionals. Founded in 1903 at the University of Wisconsin and as an auxiliary unit reporting to the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health, the WSLH embodies the Wisconsin Idea. The governor of Nebraska holds the "supreme executive power" of the state of Nebraska as provided by the fourth article of the Nebraska Constitution. The current governor is Dave Heineman, a Republican, who assumed office on January 20, 2005, upon the resignation of Mike Johanns (who had been appointed United States Secretary of Agriculture). He won a full term in 2006. The current Lieutenant Governor is John Nelson, appointed September 29, 2014.
The mission of the Texas Education Agency is to provide leadership, guidance and resources to help schools meet the educational needs of all students. The Texas Education Agency (TEA) comprises the commissioner of education and agency staff. The TEA and the State Board of Education (SBOE) guide and monitor activities and programs related to public education in Texas. The SBOE consists of 15 elected members representing different regions of the state. One member is appointed chair by the governor. The State Board for Educator Certification (SBEC) oversees all aspects of the preparation, certification and standards of conduct of public school educators. There are 11 members on the board who are appointed by the governor, and three non-voting members. TEA provides staff support to the SBEC board.

The mission of this Commission is to ensure that public officials are independent and impartial; that decisions and policies are made in the proper governmental channels; that public office is not used for private gain; and, most importantly, that there is public confidence in the integrity of government.
