About the Person
Steve Beabout is executive vice president, general counsel and secretary of Starz Entertainment. Beabout is responsible for all legal and business affairs functions, including those relating to programming acquisitions, affiliation agreements with distributors and promotional activities. Before joining Starz Entertainment, Beabout was general counsel with Riverwood International Corporation which, at that time, was a publicly traded company listed on the New York Stock Exchange. While at Riverwood, Beabout specialized in domestic and international acquisitions, divestitures and joint ventures. Prior to that, Beabout was a partner in the Denver law firm of Roath & Brega P.C. where he was a transactional attorney specializing in complex tax, merger and acquisition matters. Beabout is a prior president of the Greater Denver Tax Counsels Association. Beabout received his law degree from the University of Colorado School of Law in 1979 and a LLM in taxation from New York University in 1980.
