It is fully accredited by the Healthcare Facilities Accreditation Program and licensed by the State of California Department of Health Services. Tahoe Forest Hospital has 25 acute care beds and 36 long-term care beds. Tahoe Forest Hospital has 25 acute care beds and 36 long-term care beds. Tahoe Forest Hospital serves a full-time population of approximately 40,000 residents with influxes of up to an additional 30,000 tourists during peak periods.
