The world runs on apps, and our software—Cloudify—helps companies automate the lifecycle processes of applications and network functions and run them at peak performance, no matter how complex their cloud networks are. Cloudify is built and maintained by an open source community. That`s why Cloudify is preferred by telecoms, internet service providers, financial services firms and others for NFV operations and cloud management & orchestration: because it helps them get apps and network services to their end users faster than anything else, all without getting locked into any single technology or vendor. Cloudify, the company, specializes in IT operations technology that automates and manages application and network services through open orchestration. Our mission is to enhance the velocity and reliability of software deployment, lifecycle management and network functions in cloud-native environments. Our vision is to disrupt the networking industry by enabling a fully automated data center that fits into a highly distributed and heterogeneous multi-cloud and edge computing environment. This approach reduces barriers to entry, cost, and time to market by an order of magnitude. Cloudify is spearheading open standard initiatives in cloud management and NFV and is the leading orchestration provider behind the TOSCA specification. Cloudify is a founding member of ONAP, a consortium defining open source, next-generation network automation standards, and an active member in OASIS and ETSI standard bodies. Cloudify has corporate offices in the US, Europe and Asia.
TechFreedom, launched in 2011, digs deep into the hard policy and legal questions raised by technological change. We`re bullish on the future: for the most part, it`ll be great — if we let it. If those in power can resist the all-too-natural impulse for stability and control. The future isn`t a place we can design, it`s an ongoing, never-ending process of trial-and-error. In general, we`re for letting that process play out. Of course, it`ll be messy; it always has been. There will be real problems to confront; there always have been. But there are no tidy, top-down “solutions,” only adaptation, evolution, and policy frameworks that are better and worse at encouraging both. Crafting those frameworks is what we do. TechFreedom tries to write simple rules for a complex world — rules that focus on clear harms; rules can change and evolve over time; rules that leave people free to tinker, innovate and experiment; rules that unleash ingenuity rather than trying to direct it. In short, we teach policymakers how to be friends, not enemies, of the future.
