The mission of the Association is to strengthen the federal legal system and administration of justice by serving the interests and the needs of the federal practitioner, both public and private, the federal judiciary and the public they serve. The Association will be recognized as the premier bar association serving the federal practitioner and judiciary.
HBI is a national leader for career training in the building industry. It prepares students with the skills and experience they need for successful careers through pre-apprenticeship training, job placement services, mentoring, certification programs, textbooks and curricula. With an 80 percent job placement rate for graduates, HBI training programs are taught in local communities across the country to youth, veterans, ex-offenders, displaced workers and other underserved populations. HBI helps national, state and local policymakers understand the importance of creating a skilled workforce for the building industry and assists state and federal agencies, local workforce investment boards and home builder associations further their goals by providing workers with valuable job skills that match local workforce needs. It partners with the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) on various workforce development initiatives.
