About the Person

Thomas Piraino is Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary for Parker Hannifin Corporation. He is responsible for managing the Company’s legal and government contract compliance affairs. He oversees all of Parker’s domestic and international legal operations. Piraino joined Parker in 1981 as Assistant Secretary and Legal Counsel.He most recently served as Vice President - Law and Assistant Secretary. Prior to joining Parker, Piraino served as Senior Counsel for Diamond Shamrock Corp. of Dallas, Texas. He began his legal career as an associate with the firm of Jones, Day, Reavis & Pogue in Cleveland. Piraino holds a Bachelor’s degree in History from Allegheny College in Meadville, Pa., and a Law degree from Cornell Law School in Ithaca, N.Y. He is a member of the Ohio State Bar and the American Bar Association and is a past president of the Ohio Chapter of the American Society of Corporate Secretaries.
