About the Person
Timothy A. Messner serves as Executive Vice President and General Counsel of DISH, responsible for all legal affairs for DISH and its subsidiaries. Tim joined DISH in 2004 as a junior attorney and has since held positions of increasing responsibility in the legal department. He was a key member of the team involved in EchoStar Corporation’s 2008 spin-off from DISH and has negotiated numerous agreements for the company related to satellite, content, technology and other strategic initiatives. Most recently, Tim led a team of more than 20 attorneys responsible for negotiating the company’s commercial transactions. Tim graduated from the University of Connecticut School of Law with high honors, and received his B.S. in Accounting, with honors, from the Pennsylvania State University. Tim enjoys skiing, mountain biking, traveling and spending time in the mountains with his wife and their three children.
