The Montachusett Regional Transit Authority (‘MART’) is one of Massachusetts’ 15 regional transit authorities. ‘MART’ is located in North Central Massachusetts and encompasses parts of Northern Worcester and Western Middlesex Counties. ‘MART’ provides public transportation to 22 area cities and towns. They include the cities of Fitchburg, Gardner, and Leominster and the towns of Athol, Ashburnham, Ashby, Ayer, Bolton, Boxborough, Hardwick, Harvard, Hubbardston, Lancaster, Littleton, Lunenburg, Royalston, Shirley, Sterling, Stow, Templeton, Westminster, and Winchendon. ‘MART’ operates a fleet of 26 buses, 177 vans, and 2 trolley replica buses. We work with the local communities within the region to offer attractive options to travel with ‘MART’. We provide discounts to the elderly, disabled, veterans, and students. ‘MART’ accepts the MBTA’s Charlie Card fare card. ‘MART’ is one of 8 Massachusetts transit authorities that use the Charlie Card. This means that ‘MART’ customers can add value to their Charlie Card and use their card to travel throughout the Commonwealth. ‘MART’ also offers a Monthly Pass and a 14-Consecutive Day Pass so you can travel as much as you would like for one flat fee.
