InterAmerican College has four colleges in the US and the National City campus is the second one located in the state of California. Southeast New Mexico College “SENMC” was established in 1950 as the State`s first Community College and was named the Carlsbad Instructional Center. Ten years later, the Center was renamed as a branch campus of New Mexico State College System. In 1980, the campus was relocated to a new building, which was expanded with an additional wing of classrooms in 1987. In 1996, computer facility wing for occupational programs was added to the existing facilities. The newest building, the Allied Health Center was completed in 2011 to house programs in Nursing and Allied Health.
Claremont Graduate University is an independent institution devoted entirely to graduate study. The Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching has classified CGU as a Doctoral Research University-Extensive, the highest rating in its new classification system, reserved for some of the world`s finest institutions. On our 19-acre, tree-lined campus in Claremont, 35 miles east of downtown Los Angeles, our seven academic schools and two independent departments award master`s and doctoral degrees in 22 disciplines.
