AMC is headquartered at Redstone Arsenal, Alabama, and impacts or has a presence in all 50 states and 144 countries. The 2005 Base Realignment and Closure decision relocated AMC headquarters to Redstone Arsenal, Ala. Personnel began relocating to Redstone in 2006 and the command was completely relocated by the summer of 2011.
