The university takes its name from 19th-century Maryland philanthropist Johns Hopkins, an entrepreneur and abolitionist with Quaker roots who believed in improving public health and education in Baltimore and beyond.
Catlin Gabel is a co-educational, independent day school in Portland serving 760 students in preschool through 12th grade. The school`s roots reach back to 1859. The 1957 merger of the Catlin Hillside School and Gabel Country Day School established the highly respected school that flourishes today. Generations of students and alumni are connected by shared experiences and beloved traditions.
Monroe County Community College is a public community college in Monroe County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The main campus is located in Monroe Charter Township with a smaller off-campus location further south in Temperance. MCCC was founded in 1964 and is the only higher education institution in the county.
Moorpark College opened September 11, 1967, with 2,500 students. The campus is located at the eastern edge of the city of Moorpark. MC is one of the most beautiful community colleges in California. The 150-acre campus is a short drive from the Thousand Oaks/Agoura Hills areas and is situated near the city of Simi Valley. It includes 15 buildings, a football stadium, track, other athletic facilities, a public zoo, and an observatory. Moorpark College is one of the three colleges in the Ventura County Community College District, and part of the California Community College system of 109 community colleges. MC offers two semesters throughout the year (Fall and Spring) in addition to a summer session (May through August).
