Whether we are developing a new community, partnering with another nonprofit to create success, or serving people directly though our Front Porch active adult and retirement communities, we know how important it is to listen and then create the community and experiences that are most meaningful to you.
Goodwill Northern New England is not-for-profit social enterprise that creates jobs, delivers needed services for people with diverse challenges, uses environmentally friendly products and processes – all while earning revenue to fund Goodwill-designed workforce programs that empower individuals and families to build stability in their lives.
Starfish Initiative inspires, encourages, and prepares promising, economically disadvantaged students for college and career success. To achieve this goal, Starfish pairs economically disadvantaged high school students one-on-one with college-educated mentors.
Washington Township is a leader for achievement in local government, education, and recreation. Washington Township with a population of 48,500 is Gloucester County`s largest municipality. The Township is 23.0 square miles. The Township is served by six postal zip codes: Blackwood, (Turnersville) 08012, Glassboro 08028, Grenloch 08032, Pitman 08071, Sicklerville 08081, and Sewell 08080. Washington Township is conveniently located on the N-S Freeway (State Highway 42) at the beginning of the Atlantic City Expressway. Less than 10 minutes away are: Interstate Routes 295, 95, 676, and the New Jersey Turnpike. Local train service is available from nearby Woodbury or the Lindenwold High Speed Line which is operated by PATCO. New Jersey Transit bus service is located in Washington Township and serves the surrounding areas. The town is approximately 20 minutes from Philadelphia, and the main hub of AMTRACK. Newark International is approximately 90 minutes away, New York 2 hours, Delaware Memorial Bridge 40 minutes, Commodore Barry Bridge 40 minutes. and all shore points approximately 1.5 hours away from our town.
Iota Phi Theta Fraternity, Incorporated (ΙΦΘ) is a nationally incorporated, historically African-American, collegiate fraternity whose purpose is the development and perpetuation of Scholarship, Leadership, Citizenship, Fidelity and Brotherhood among Men. It was founded on September 19, 1963 at Morgan State University (then Morgan State College) in Baltimore, Maryland. At present, it consists of over 70,000 members. There are currently over 300 undergraduate and alumni chapters, as well as colonies located in 40 U.S. states, the District of Columbia, The Bahamas, Colombia, South Korea, and Japan. The fraternity holds membership in the National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC), an umbrella organization comprising nine international historically African-American Greek letter sororities and fraternities, and the North-American Interfraternity Conference (NIC).
