With the inception of the Business Information Management (BIM) major in 2008, a group of students banded together in 2010 to establish Management Information Student Society, commonly known as MAISS (/meɪs/). The group of BIM students hoped to create a tight-knit community of BIM students to persevere through the difficulties of the newly-established curriculum.
