One Y For All The YMCA of Greater Pittsburgh is a 501c(3) charitable organization dedicated to nurturing the potential of every youth and teen, improving our regions health and well-being and providing opportunities to give back and support our neighbors. The Y is the nations leading nonprofit organization committed to strengthening communities through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. Across the United States, 2,700 YMCAs engage 21 million men, women and children of all ages, incomes and backgrounds. Anchored in more than 10,000 communities, the Y has the long-standing relationships and physical presence to promise and deliver lasting personal and social change. Our work is focused across three areas of priority: Closing the Achievement Gap, Eliminating Health Disparities and Food Security and Aid to Financially Struggling Families. Programs offered by the YMCA of Greater Pittsburgh serve more than 90,000 different people each year and include after-school care and childcare, outdoor camping, community outreach, sports, health and fitness, youth mentoring and senior assistance. Every day, the Y works side by side with its neighbors to ensure that everyone regardless of age, income or background, has the opportunity to learn, grow and thrive.
