Goodwill of Southern Nevada, Inc. is a non-profit organization that provides education, employment and training for people with disabilities and other special needs to maximize the quality of life for each individual served. We support our mission though a process called "The Cycle of Giving". This means that we take donations from local Nevadans, items such as clothes, home goods, furniture and more, and sell in in our retail stores, online, and to recyclers/salvage buyers. The funds generated through the sale of these donated items are then used to fund job training and placement programs for local adults, veterans, and youth. Additionally, we have an active fund development/grant department and several annual special events that support our programs as well.
The OSU Foundation is a nonprofit organization incorporated in 1947 dedicated to enhancing the mission of Oregon State University. The Foundation is governed by a 42-person Board of Trustees. To help the university reach its goals, the OSU Foundation aspires to develop into one of the premier public university fundraising programs by capitalizing on past successes, an engaged alumni community, and the experience of existing and new professionals. In October 2007, the OSU Foundation publicly launched the university’s first comprehensive fundraising campaign, following an extensive, university-wide planning process which resulted in OSU’s Strategic Plan for the 21st Century. In 2012, the goal for The Campaign for OSU was increased to $1 billion in response to an outpouring of community support. Donors to the campaign are providing resources that create opportunities for students, strengthen Oregon communities, and allows Oregon State to conduct research that changes the world. The Pennsylvania Chamber of Business and Industry is the largest broad-based business advocacy association in Pennsylvania, serving businesses of all sizes and industry sectors throughout the Commonwealth. Our membership comprises nearly 50 percent of Pennsylvania`s private workforce. Headquartered in Harrisburg, the PA Chamber serves as the frontline advocate for business at the state Capitol by influencing the legislative, regulatory and judicial branches of state government. The PA Chamber is dedicated to helping its members understand and easily follow the complexities of state and federal workplace regulations. Services include conferences, money-saving programs, and publications on a wide variety of issues important to the business community. Our mission is to be the Statewide Voice of Business™, advocate for job creation and lead Pennsylvania to greater prosperity for its residents.
Bridges Outreach exists to bridge churches, schools, and communities through programming that feeds, tutors and mentors at-risk youth. Bridges Outreach creates windows of opportunity with hopes of developing each student academically, socially, emotionally and spiritually.
