Aera Energy LLC (Aera) is one of California’s largest oil and gas producers, accounting for about 25 percent of the state’s production. (now an Exxon Mobil Corporation affiliate), and ARCO. Today Aera is jointly owned by Shell and ExxonMobil and is operated as a stand-alone company through its own board of managers (directors). The California-based refining, retail petroleum marketing and pipeline operations of Shell and ExxonMobil are not included in Aera.
Azure Midstream Partners, LP is a growth-oriented master limited partnership engaged in natural gas gathering, transportation, compression, dehydration, treating, processing, NGL transportation, and crude oil transloading services. As of February 27, 2015, 100% of Azure Midstream Partners, LP’s, formerly Marlin Midstream Partners LP, general partner interest was acquired by Azure Midstream Energy, LLC. Additionally, Azure Midstream’s Legacy gathering system was contributed to Marlin, creating a diverse platform of midstream service offerings and establishing one of the largest gathering and processing systems in the Haynesville and horizontal Cotton Valley plays. The Partnership now operates approximately 700 miles of high- and low- pressure gathering lines, 260 MMcf/d of processing capacity, 20,000 Bbls/d of NGL takeaway capacity, and three crude oil transloading facilities.
