The Boston campus of the University of Massachusetts brings the resources of a major university to people from all walks of life, offering undergraduate and graduate programs in approximately 90 fields of study, as well as advanced certificate programs through the College of Advancing and Professional Studies. The University is one of five institutions in the Greater Boston Urban Education Collaborative, a group that collectively works to expand services, enrich programming, develop greater flexibility, and contribute more fully to the future development of the community. In 1982 Boston State College joined UMass Boston to create an even better institution, and its alumni and former staff are considered part of the UMass Boston family. With a commitment to academic excellence and spiritual vitality, Asbury College encourages more than 1,300 students to study, worship and serve together on a campus located 20 minutes southwest of Lexington in Wilmore, Kentucky. Suny Canton offers a variety of career-driven bachelor's degrees in addition to its associate and certificate programs. In the past year, the College added two new bachelor's degrees and expanded its facilities with a new athletic center, nicknamed Roos House, and the Grasse River Suites Residence Hall. The College's faculty members are noted for their professional real-world experience in addition to their academic credentials.
