The National Security Agency (NSA) is a world leader in the protection and exploitation of intelligence. We have two primary missions working toward this goal: Our Information Assurance mission works to prevent foreign adversaries from gaining access to sensitive or classified national security information. At the same time, our Signals Intelligence mission intercepts, decrypts, analyzes, and disseminates intelligence information from foreign signals. This Agency also enables Network Warfare operations to defeat terrorists and their organizations at home and abroad, consistent with U.S. laws and the protection of privacy and civil liberties. The genesis of the National Communications System (NCS) began in 1962 after the Cuban missile crisis when communications problems among the United States, the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, and foreign heads of state threatened to complicate the crisis further.
Nye County is a county located in the U.S. state of Nevada. As of the 2010 census, the population was 43,946. Its county seat is Tonopah.[2] At 18,159 square miles (47,030 km2), Nye is the largest county by area in the state and the third-largest county in the contiguous United States (thus excluding the boroughs of Alaska).
