The Department of Revenue is Tennessee`s chief tax collector and is responsible for administering the state`s tax laws and motor vehicle title and registration laws. The department collects funds that help educate Tennessee`s children, build highways and state parks, rehabilitate disabled citizens and operate city and county governments.
