Resource Conservation District of Monterey County is a Salinas, CA-based company in the Government sector.
The Housing Authority of the Cherokee Nation was created in 1966 to provide decent, safe, and sanitary housing within the Cherokee Nation. Today, nearly fifty years later, we continue that original mission and are dedicated to providing housing assistance through a number of programs. Nearly 6,000 families are assisted with housing through the HACN on a number of programs. As a sub-recipient of NAHASDA funding for the Cherokee Nation we administer low-income rental housing, rental assistance, college housing, and manage a number of homes previously constructed with federal housing funds. Today, the HACN has renewed its commitment to providing new construction opportunities to Cherokee families. Through an innovative approach we offer a New Home Construction Program. This program uses funding outside of federal grant programs to provide housing. Preference is given to families that own their own land or has a family member that is willing to donate land for construction.
The District of Lake Country is located near the centre of the Okanagan Valley and is made up of four distinct neighbourhood communities: Oyama, Winfield, Carr's Landing and Okanagan Centre. Lake Country is a beautiful, unique place, rich in its own cultural history. The District was incorporated as a municipality on May 2, 1995. Shortly after incorporation, a referendum was held and the residents decided to maintain their four, distinct neighbourhood communities. The result was the formation of the only municipality in British Columbia that currently utilizes a neighbourhood constituency system. This allows each of the four neighbourhood communities to elect one Councillor, with the mayor and two councillors-at-large being elected by all the residents of the District.
Montmorency County sits in the northeastern portion of Michigan`s lower peninsula, bounded on the east by Alpena County, on the north by Presque Isle County, on the west by Otsego County and on the the south by Oscoda County. There are 352, 019 acres in the county or 547.6 square miles of land. With 248 lakes and reservoirs, the county has 14.8 square miles of water surface. Eighty-six percent of the land has forest cover with the economy being supported by forestry and agricultural industries as well as tourism and several manufacturing plants. Montmorency County`s estimated population was 10,478 in 2006.
Kiawah Island is a barrier island with a maritime forest with a rich maritime habitat and 10 miles of beach. It is a private gated community developed to balance a residential community with the business development of the Island. The Town adopted a vision that states, “Kiawah Island is a residential community with a Resort surrounded by a unique and beautiful setting.” Tourism plays a very important role as part of the Town`s economic vitality and the Town supports businesses and facilities that in turn support Kiawah Island`s owners and visitors.
