About the Person
Don Chavez will serve as the leader of the Technical Services sector legal team and offer counsel to the sector president as well as senior staff members. He will manage the legal advice given to the sector regarding business development, intellectual property, employment, commercial transactions, and investigations. At present, he is the corporate counsel in the Electronic Systems sector for the Navigation and Maritime Systems Division. Chavez has a bachelor’s in business administration from the University of Mexico and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Southern California. Prior to his career at Northrop, he served as general counsel for Thales Avionics and worked as a certified public accountant before attending law school. He began working at Northrop in 1991.
