They are looking for a Chief Technology Officer or CTO to architect and design large-scale systems that are the heart of the business. This role acts as the bridge between engineering and the business and will drive the technical direction of the product and company.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING: - You will:
• Evolve the company`s strategic direction and technical roadmap
• Grow the organization through effective hiring, coaching and development of globally distributed team members
• Inspire, empower and motivate the organization, leading by example.
• Partner with executives, product management, and/or major customers to imagine, communicate, design, develop, test, and launch performant enterprise software
• Guide technology decisions and bridge the gap between agile engineering and more traditional business schools of thought
• Be the technology face of the company with conferences, events, and media
WHAT YOU NEED:
• 10+ years of professional experience building technical systems
• Previous experience building and successfully delivering distributed, real time financial systems capable of processing very large volumes of requests
• Proven track record of successfully communicating with multiple stakeholders, including the engineering team, the leadership team, other company functions or external vendors
• Demonstrated ability within recent experience to establish the right processes that ensure reliability and scalability while also allowing fast, high quality delivery
• Strong understanding of agile and lean processes and how to leverage those processes in engineering teams, while also taking into account non-technical viewpoints
• Experience taking a leading role in building complex enterprise-level software systems that have been successfully implemented within banking/financial institutions
• Experience developing/overseeing low-latency systems and/or financial platforms (ideally)
• Ability to communicate and influence at all levels, from the junior engineer to an executive audience
