You can cheer a Wolves athletic team to victory, grab a coffee break at Starbucks, take in a theatre production, an art exhibit, or a lecture on any number of topics – all without leaving campus. UWG students are performing biomedical research, outranking private university debate teams, studying trees to evaluate historical sites, and submitting winning tee shirt designs for the Peachtree Road Race. They are studying overseas, developing local outreach programs, and building robots. Our faculty and staff are visiting far-flung reaches of the world to give lectures, provide medical services, and educate the less fortunate. They`re publishing books, advising small businesses, and excavating archaeological sites. And our alumni are newscasters, authors, international business leaders and teachers of the year. Founded in 1946, Mohawk Valley Community College is a public, co-educational, two-year institution. The College is a unit of the sixty-four campus State University of New York System (SUNY). MVCC provides accessible, high-quality educational opportunities to meet the diverse needs of its students. As the community`s college, MVCC is committed to student success through partnerships, transfer and career pathways, and personal enrichment. The College, which spans two campuses – one in Utica and another in Rome – offers 90 degree and certificate options for its enrollment of 6,000 full- and part-time students. MVCC also serves an additional 6,000 people through its corporate and community education programs, and its campuses welcome more than 50,000 people annually for community events. MVCC and its partners in the community also collaborate to offer programs in the region`s neighborhoods, such as thINCubator and an Educational Opportunity Center. MVCC`s tuition, among the lowest in the SUNY system, along with a robust scholarship program and services including a campus-to-campus direct shuttle help make the College accessible for everyone. Since 1965 the seven colleges of DCCCD — Brookhaven, Cedar Valley, Eastfield, El Centro, Mountain View, North Lake and Richland — have served more than 3 million people. That`s a lot of students!
