The Department of Financial Protection and Innovation (DFPI) provides protection to consumers and services to businesses engaged in financial transactions, fostering innovation for new products and services entering the market. The mission of the agency is to assist Nebraska counties in providing indigent criminal defense services, which are mandated by the state and federal constitutions and state laws.
