The Hamilton County Sheriff`s Office (HCSO) was created on October 25, 1819 when the County of Hamilton was established. With a population of over 336,000, Hamilton is the fourth-most populous county in Tennessee. Our county was named for Alexander Hamilton, the first Secretary of the Treasury. As the 4th largest Sheriff`s Office in Tennessee, our operations include approximately 183 certified deputies, 161 sworn deputies, and 90 civilian staff personnel. In addition to our traditional patrol and corrections operations, our agency boasts numerous specialty divisions and units to include, but certainly not limited to SWAT, K-9, Hostage Negotiation, Unmanned Aerial Systems (Drones), Marine Patrol, Forensic Divers, Criminal Investigations, CBRNE, Forensics, Honor Guard, Fleet Management, School Resource Officers, Traffic, Public Relations, and Property and Evidence. Each year, HCSO personnel respond to thousands of calls for service throughout Hamilton County. Each day our personnel, both certified and civilian work diligently with our law enforcement partners throughout the region to ensure our citizens and visitors receive the highest quality law enforcement services possible. For two hundred years the men and women of the Hamilton County Sheriff`s Office have provided consistent law enforcement operations throughout Hamilton County. From a bygone era of mounted deputies on horseback crisscrossing wagon trails to the use of modern technology and state-of-the-art vehicles, our deputies continue to honor our agency`s rich history and uphold the legacy and traditions of those who have proudly served before us.
The Texas State Legislature authorized the creation of local transit authorities in 1973. In 1978, Houston-area voters created METRO and approved a one-cent sales tax to support its operations. METRO opened for business in January 1979. The Authority has transformed a broken bus fleet into a regional multimodal transportation system. Communities that are part of the METRO area include the cities of Houston, Bellaire, Bunker Hill Village, El Lago, Hedwig Village, Hilshire Village, Humble, Hunters Creek, Katy, Missouri City, Piney Point, Southside Place, Spring Valley, Taylor Lake Village and West University Place. Major portions of unincorporated Harris County are also included.
Gwinnett County`s newest and largest city is situated in one of the fastest growing counties in Georgia and is conveniently located to major highways, I-85, I-285 and GA 400 and just 30 minutes northeast of Atlanta. Founded July 2012, Peachtree Corners is home to over 40,000 residents and is located in the southwest corner of the county. Seven miles of the Chattahoochee River define its western border. The new city`s roots began in the late 1960s as a dream of businessman Paul Duke, who pitched the idea of creating Peachtree Corners, a planned community to be build in the area once known as Pinckneyville.. Duke`s dream included Technology Park Atlanta, a campus of low-rise buildings for high technology industries. Today Technology Park is home to Curiosity Lab, high-tech and Fortune 500 businesses. The city continues to draw top-tiered engineering talent from around the country. The city by the river is also home to regional, national and international headquarters for a number of corporations. Peachtree Corners is an active family-oriented city. Residents enjoy a variety of living lifestyles from riverfront homes, swim-tennis communities, attractive townhome, apartment and senior living choices. Peachtree Corners residents and visitors enjoy numerous parks with views and access to the river, trout fishing and boating. Families have excellent education choices for their children, from outstanding Gwinnett County Public Schools to private and parochial schools. Peachtree Corners is also within an hour`s drive of a number of post-secondary institutions. Businesses thrive in Peachtree Corners pro-business environment and zero millage rate. The Gwinnett city is also home to a new startup incubator which promotes and supports the entrepreneurial spirit. The city`s Town Center, opening in 2018, features retail shops, restaurants, entertainment venues, townhomes, veterans monument and town green for community gatherings and outdoor entertainment.

Together, the Agency manages 300,000 contracts, valued at more than $7 trillion, at 15,000 contractor locations worldwide. DCMA makes sure DoD, other federal agencies, and partner nation customers get the equipment they need, delivered on time, at projected cost, and meeting all performance requirements. Every business day, DCMA receives nearly 1,000 new contracts and authorizes more than $700 million in payments to contractors. Most importantly, every day our team delivers more than a million and a half items – from fighter jets to fasteners – to our warfighters.
